Encore Dance

 

 

Can parents view class? Our Studios have two waiting areas where parents can view classes via video feed. There is also a large viewing window into Studio 2. This arrangement allows the students to focus on their class work whilst still having the reasurance that mum or dad is waiting right outside.

 

Do Encore have end of year Concerts?   Encore has two end of year Concerts our Mini Concert and our Annual Concert. Our Mini Concert is a one show performance in November especially for our youngest and newest performers. Our Annual Concert is held in the first Saturday in December and features both a matinee and evening performance. Participation in concerts is optional but reccomended.

 

Classical Ballet The basis and foundation of most dance styles. Classical Ballet classes develop strength, agility, flexibility, and balance, all while increasing the student’s focus and body awareness.  Students are taught grace, poise, posture and musicality.

 

Contemporary/Lyrical A class that draws on modern dance techniques as well as combining elements of Jazz and ballet. Contemporary/Lyrical class incorporates creative and improvisational movement. Using a wide range of music styles, Contemporary/Lyrical  provides  students a chance to explore their own dance style and tell a story through their movement.

 

Hip Hop A form of dance that incorporates urban style and is set to uptempo beats and rhythmic music.  These popular classes are great for the recreational dancer who is looking for a fun class full of popular music and fresh choreography.

 

Acrobats Classes feature basic tumbling skills such as cartwheels, walkovers, and handsprings. Acro classes develop strength, flexibility, balance, and muscle control.
