A note from Sharon
I would just like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to our Encore families who continually support us throughout these tough times. Every email, text, message, like or comment is just that little extra reminder that what we are doing is making a positive impact. I cannot believe the amount of work and energy it has taken to go online. I am so proud of our team who has worked tirelessly to upskill to make it all happen. To say we are all out of our comfort zone is an understatement but hey we survived our first full week of zoom classes. No it's not perfect and we have had a lot of issues to solve along the way but we definitely improved the delivery as the week progressed. Its been both physically and mentally exhausting but so rewarding to feel the excitement of the teachers as they converse with their students and see their gorgeous faces on the screen.
Now we have the basics set up I’m now looking at what else we can do to value add for our students and their families at this time. So watch out for some additions of Adult and family dance and exercise sessions plus extra activities and challenges.
I understand that this is a challenging time for us all and of course the safety of our love ones and community is a priority. Please reach out if there is anything that we can do to help support our families.
Those of you who are in small businesses who have had to pivot for survival please make contact as maybe we could work together in some way. Even if it is just promoting your business to our community.
I remain hopeful that we will be able to recommence face-to-face classes during term 2, but no doubt with social distancing and other restrictions. Let's see what the national cabinet has to say on Friday 8 May.
Stay safe and well. Sharon
