CHILD SAFETY
Our Commitment to Child Safety
At Encore Dance, every child and young person has the right to be safe and feel safe.
We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every child and young person in our studio.
We value and promote the participation and inclusion of all children and young people.
Encore Dance is dedicated to creating a space where everyone feels welcome, heard, and included.
Our Promises to you:

Respect: We will be kind and respectful to all children, young people, and families. We will make sure everyone has the chance to join in, share ideas, and feel valued, no matter who they are or where they come from.

Inform: We will keep our staff learning and informed, regularly review and improve our policies and procedures, and keep families updated every step of the way.

Give you a voice: We will listen to your ideas, feelings, and worries, and make sure what you say matters.

Help: We will listen, encourage and act. We will be there to support you, answer questions and make sure you feel safe.

Trust: You can trust that we will care about your needs and feelings and support you. We will continue learning so we can get better at what we do.

Safety: We will make our studio a place where everyone feels happy, supported and comfortable.

Encore Dance’s Child Safety Commitment is guided by the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Act 2023 (Tas) and the 10 Child Safe Standards. We are committed to aligning our policies and practices with Tasmanian child safety laws and the guidance of the Commissioner for Children and Young People Tasmania, making child safety a natural and essential part of everything we do.
